India's spinners were in excellent form, with Axar Patel taking 3-16 and Yuzvendra Chahal taking 2-19. England's batters never got going, with only Jos Buttler (28) and Liam Livingstone (29) reaching double figures.
The win sets up a mouth-watering final clash between India and Pakistan, who beat New Zealand in the first semi-final. The final will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.
